Windows Messenger for Mac?

Windows Messenger (with voice coms) for the Mac.

Does it exist? (or a mac specific client version thereof?)

I'm trying to put my sister in Paris in audio contact with my father in London. The only software he feels confident using for this sort of thing is Windows Messenger but my sister has an apple powerbook. She tried downloading Microsoft Messenger for Mac 7 but found that it did not have support for audio chat.

Any help much appreciated!

Do the other person have a mac, if so use iChat (included with mac os x) and then you can have webcam+mic chat.

Nope - my father will be using Windows Messenger on a PC and my sister a Mac.

is iChat available for the PC?

However AOL is and that can be used with iChat IIRC. I don't know if voice is supported tho.

Mecury MSN has support for video and audio but is a pretty shoddy program.

Failing that you can set up iChat using Jabber so that MSN can be used. HERE. Pretty long process but works.
