I’m now using my 5G off my iPhone 14 pro connected with the lightning cable and sometimes bridge my ADSL broadband using the windows multiplexor thing. But the Windows mobile hotspot service will switch off after sometime, but not sure if it makes a difference. But wondering if that’s why when playing Forza Horizon 4 online I often get disconnected. But also I try bridging the ADSL broadband too. But sometimes this gives faster upload and download speeds, other times it’s faster not bridging them. But often unbridged, although I still get faster download speeds, the upload will only go to 0.86mbps which I always get just using ADSL. Also although speed tests show high up and down loads, it seems ages for a site to come up so that’s why I try and have the mobile hotspot on and bridged. Am I going about this correctly? I have tried to find ways so the windows mobile hotspot stays on permanently but every thing I’ve seen to try doesn’t work. Any ideas. Is it also worth getting a 5G router and aerial as I can see the mast from my window but it’s still half a mile away. Thanks for any help.

Possibly, most hotspot features nowadays will switch off if there are no connected devices (wireless). Is there any reason you can't connect over WiFi?

If your home physical connection is that slow then yes it may well be worth going the 5G router option.
