Windows Netflix App

Hi,

Just wondered how many have noticed or experienced this issue.

The Windows store Netflix app seems limited to a bitrate of 3000, attempting to increase it (On W10 not sure about 8) causes it to crash

3000 limits you to 720P to get 1080P you have to use IE/Edge where the Bitrate increases and the resolution sets itself to 1080P connection speed allowing

Has anyone else noticed this? I cant find anything that states the app is to be updated and this resolved by MS or Netflix and I prefer the App to IE as its a Media PC and its easier to select and use.

If you use it and aren't sure how to test just press ctrl, alt, shift and then D (might be S) on the keyboard while video is playing in Netflix and you'll see the Bitrate in either the app or IE/Edge (The latter displays more info inc the resolution)

I tried mine on w10 earlier using the app and it was streaming at a bitrate of 5800.

Weird, tried mine again and it refuses, just crashes every time. The app is up to date too and I've read others have had exactly the same issue.

I've started using Edge to stream Netflix but its a shame as the app is more convenient
