Right, so my operating system hard drive failed on me a few weeks ago, days before I moved house.

I've now got a SSD 80GB Intel drive, so got a few questions.

I've got a Vista 64bit HP on cd and also HP for windows 7.

Now my 2nd hard drive (still full of files and working), would a system with Win7 installed still be able to see and use the files from the 2nd harddrive, even though it was used for the previous operating system Vista?

Also, I was thinking of doing a partition of my SSD, how much space would I need for both Vista HP 64bit also how much would I need for the 64bit Win 7 HP (Was thinking maybe 30gb, but would that be too much/little?

Also I'm not wanting both types of window's, only one :)

Thanks for any replies and help, only able to reply on work computer so sorry if I've not included enough info and delayed replies in advance!

1. Yes, your second hard drive will be accessible from the new installation.
2. Split the drive down the middle if you really want to dual boot, but I dont really see the point dual botting vista + 7

3. so you dont want to dual boot? in that case, use the whole 80gb ssd for windows 7 and be done with it.
