Hello all,

i was wondering if someone can help, my mate has just emailed me a question of which is something i'm not clued up on.

Can anyone help please? Thanks in advance ;)

An error message has started appearing whenever I turn on my computer. An error message appears on screen saying 'windows-no disk' 'there is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive'
It gives 3 options to cancel, try again, continue. When I click cancel it removes the message and causes no further notceable problems. I have run all of my spyware progs and antivirus but it brings up nothing. It is an annoying fault rather than anything too serious. Any suggestions?

Is it when the pc loads into windows.

It sounds like a program is trying to access the cd drive or other external drive and is unable to access it. Have a look in msconfig (START, RUN, "MSCONFIG") under startup and see if there is anything unusual there, also look in the startup folder of the start menu. There may be something in there. If a program is pointing to D:/whatever or E:/ whatever then that could be your culprit. Also consider asking him to give the exact error msg as it might give more of a clue.

Edit// This may also help Windows - No Disk But i'm not a big fan of killing everything just to elimnate the issue, its better to find out what the real isssue is.
