Now then,
On Sunday evening I was dragged down to A&E and after a bit of an ordeal I was back home 24hrs later. I've been in bed since, however today I've got the power to get out of bed. I get up, go to boot the PC up and lo and behold it's buggered. Im presented with an error recovery screen giving the the usual safe mode, last know good configurations and start windows normally options....None of them work, all result in a reboot back to the same screen.
I tried booting up with my installation disc and running a repair bit it says that my disc is not valid, I read somewhere that this may have something to do with having an extra harddrive enabled but I can't for the life of me work out how to disable the HDD in the gigabyte bios so that it just detects the SSD with the OS on. Is it easier just to open the baby up and manually unplug the HDD? Not something im too keen on doing given that I went down to hospital with a severe slipped disc.
Could it have something to do with the power supply, the error recovery screen says something about just starting in normal mode if the power was interrupted on but (it says IF not that it definitely was) and when I do this it pretty much instantly powers down and reboots.
Any help/advise/abuse/criticism is much appreciated, I've got another 2 weeks off work and I need to get access to the pc >_<
