A customers PC recently died after a heatsink fell of one of the processors. Now they want to upgrade to a new motherboard and processor which means I have no means of booting up their windows install (it crashes if I try it in any other PC).
I need their CD key from their registry as they have lost their cd case with the key on. Is there any software that can read the registry from a hard drive, even if that windows install isn't actually active?
Any help appreciated
