Ok, so I am working at one of our clients sites.

They recently had some hardware failure on their DC and have purchased a new server and installed SBS2011 and setup a new domain. This is fine.

There is still one server which I would like to move to the new domain.
I have managed to reset the local administrator password but I am finding it difficult to remove this NT server from the original domain.
Whenever I try to do so it moans that it not accessible.

So... how can I force it back to workgroup, or straight to the new domain, with no DCs available.

This is probably better in the server section but you wont easily get an NT4 system on a 2008 domain without fiddling with the security policies on the 2008 DC.

Also is the NT server a DC already? If so, you wont be able to make it a member server, that setting is set at install on NT4.
