I keep getting random issues occur where windows will fail to load.
The solution I have so far is removing all RAM bar one stick and then windows will boot. Then sticking all memory back in and windows boots just fine.
Memory is: x4 Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB 1600Mhz 10 10 10 28 1.5V
First time it happened I thought windows had failed, couldn't even get to repair it so I re-installed and everything was good.
Subsequent times I figured it was memory, saving the install, which was me being rather stupid and not considering the hardware.
So it did it again today, the computer went through post, found the sata drives, but then it just went to a black screen and there was no hard drive activity.
Restarted to try again and the same.
Restarted pressing F8 tried safe mode and the same black screen.
Restarted tried recovery, won't load the windows files so no recovery and no access to memory test.
Pulled 3 sticks of memory out and restarted, boots into windows just fine. Shut down and ran memtest86+. The one stick is just fine.
Shut down installed all four sticks and ran memtest86+ again and all fine.
Restarted and windows loads fine.
Shut down and thought I would check BIOS settings for memory having read in the sticky the settings could be wrong.
The memory setting were at 1333Mhz 9 9 9 24 so I adjusted them to the correct ones 1600Mhz 10 10 10 28.
The question is should this solve my issues or could I be looking for something else as a problem?
