Windows OEM vs Windows FPP

Hello,

I would like to buy windows 7 home premium 64bit. I can't seem to find out what I am getting when I buy the full package. I want to know if when i install windows 7 with the licence key can I also install it on another computer with the same licence. Also if i need to uninstall windows and re install can i do this without buying a new key.

Retail allows you to move the license to different hardware.

So if i buy retail i can uninstall and re install as much as i want ? Also if my friend buys his own key can he use my disc to install it to his system ?

i'd expect it to be cheaper for your friend to buy a disk rather than a key.

Ok thanks I think im going to buy the windows 7 oem as i only need it for one pc. Just wanted to know if something went wrong and i needed to reinstall. Can i reinstall the OEM version on the same pc.

yup. you can even change/upgrade anything except the motherboard.
