Hey,

I currently have 2 HDD:

Western Digital Caviar 120GB (Windows XP Home 32x)
Maxtor IDE Hard Drive HDD 40GB (Windows XP Pro 64x)

If I hook up both of these drives in my PC and at start up can I select which drive it uses?

Thanks,

Yes, you need to amend the boot.ini file in one of the windows install so it lists both OS's at startup.

[boot loader]
timeout=3
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
multi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
C:\CMDCONS\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows Recovery Console" /cmdcons

Something like that I think. I would wait for someone else to confirm

lol, do you actually want us to come round and do it for you? :p

Let windows boot up, and which ever version it boots into, do the following;

Right click on "My computer" and goto properties
Goto "Advanced" tab
Click the "Settings" button under "Startup and Recovery"
Click "Edit" - This will load the boot.ini file
Then paste what it says in there on here. Then I or someone else can tell you waht you need to edit.

Failing that, you can change the boot order of your hard drives in the BIOS every time you want to switch windows partition.
