Hi,

I am thinking about getting a Laptop and have been looking at the Dells, but I really do love the look of the apple and spec wise there's not a huge differance tbh.

So my only question is that I want to be able to play Sup Com, Cod2 etc on the lappy. Now I know you can now install windows on a mac but can you play games under windows with no slow downs, crashes etc?

Thanks

Laptop as in the MacBook (or Pro)?

If so, then the MacBook Pro is better suited to gaming - for its dedicated GPU. You might want to wait till after the Apple Event this mid-june before deciding on getting a MacBook Pro - MAY be a chance of an update during that event (loads of rumours about)

The (Non-pro) MacBooks are small and generally suited for light casual gaming - nothing major, I have one and I play Postal 2, Unreal Tournament (The original) on it via Bootcamp to Windows

Thanks for the Info. I would be looking at a macbook pro, as i'll sell my emac to help fund it. Yeah had seen some rumors about an update, and won't be needing it till August so I can wait.

One other question, the Bootcamp software do you have to buy it or is it free. Are there any other issues with putting windows on a mac?

at the momnet bootcamp is a free download from apple, but i believe it's going to be a part of OSX 10.5

I booted xp on my imac, easy to use and no proplems at all

Like what mr_barbra said, it is free and can be grabbed off apple download page.

AFAIK, booting into Windows with my macbook thru bootcamp is like booting Windows on my PC downstairs, so no, no issues from my side.
