I have finally set up my new system yesterday whoop!

Im having trouble detecting the correct Memory total: which is 6GB but displaying as 4GB and I've used benchmark apps such as Everest and CPU-z displaying it under dual channel with DDR3 x3 memory sticks installed 2gb per stick but using 4gigs of ram.

(Sorry if this sounds a bit muddled I haven't had much sleep after 8 hours of work last night! lol)
The next bit might be of use!

CPU: Intel Core i7 930
MB: Asus P6X58D-E
RAM: OCZ3G1600LV6GK 3x 2GB DDR3-1600mhz set to Locked CPU 1066mhz
GFX: ATI Sapphire HD 5770 Vapor-X

SYSTEM not OVERCLOCKED! BIOS O.C. settings ALL set to AUTO!

DUAL CHANNEL? with x3 DDR3 rams 3 channels installed

CPU-Z correct memory size still DUAL Channel, not Tri Channel

All modules are installed in the correct DIMM slots, in the blue slots instructed by the manual.

Can sum1 help and tell me if theres a way to fix it or if the Ram or Motherboard is faulty?

Let me know as soon as, in-case I need to RMA one of the items! Thanks

ive tried all that, i've tried with 1 stick 2 sticks swapped them all around they all work but the max i get is 4gb or 2gb if i keep 1 in. Thnx for the advice!

so is this a problem with the Ram or The motherboard or CPU?
Does this mean I've got to pay out for more expensive gear or just get a replacement?
Glad i'm getting the support from here, I bought the MB, Ram, PSU, DVD+RW, Case, GFX from Ocuk but I got the HDD & CPU from Amazon, coz i got Amazon Prime and the items worked out cheaper.

I've also ran memtest86 but it also displays I only have 4gb dual channel and cuts out half way through, it seems to cut out and reboot half way through testing. :S

And the RAM is CL 8-8-8-24 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS) according to the website and the PC is lowering it.
Tbh im a bit of a dumb ass wen it comes to overclocking/over volting. And with the newer tech such as QPI and bios tweaking. So when it comes to OC side of things i prefere it to be explained simply lol

LOL got replacement CPU - still no luck - Retried the rams this time more thorough (1 stick at a time) and one of them came along as dead! My first guesses at the start :/
