When my computer is switched on i get the bios load up on the screen but as it switches to the operating system nothing loads up and i get a blank screen.

i got a new hard disk also and booted up using the cd which sounds like it works okay but doesnt appear on screen.

is this as obvious as the graphics card? because i've tested *** cd rom drives and well i tried in both and they both must work.

do u agree i have graphics card problem? only thing i can think of

I'd be saying that it wasnt the graphics card myself, the fact that it shows the POST sequence at all implies that it is OK.
What changes have you made to your PC recently? Software or hardware.
Just to check what you're saying there, do you mean that you have got hold of a 2nd hard drive since getting the problem installed windows on it from CD then tried booting that up and you have the same problem?

And make sure that HDD-0 is set as a boot device rather than disabled, even if it is 2nd after CD that is fine :)

the post sequence could require less graphics but as it boots into the windows THAT may require more graphics card usage which is something i dont really have much of MAYBE...just speculation.

i hard a corrupt hard disk i replaced it with a brand new 80gig one. the cdrom drive is the first boot followed by the hdd1 or hard disk 1 then floppy disk.

so im still confused! help me
