I need to activate my system via the automated phone line, but when I call up I hear nothing from the system. Tried both landline and mobile to no success.

Reinstalled 7 on my HP laptop using the key on the sticker (doesn't allow me to activate via internet), is there any other method of activation?
EDIT: Never mind, I put in my key again and this time it decided to activate via the internet!
