Windows phone applications

Hi guys just a quick question.

What has been your experience been with developing Windows phone apps?

Is it easy to distribute?

What cut do Microsoft take?

IS there a licence?

Any sort of quality control system in place?

What language is used and what is the framework like if there is one?

Oh ended up being a few questions!

I've not developed or published any WP7 apps, but there is a lot of info here:

WP7 apps have to be written in C#, but with WP8 due towards the end of the year it may be worth looking at developing for that OS. WP8 apps can be written in C++ or C#.

Thanks there's plenty to read here, I forgot that they support XNA!

Anybody else have a comment to throw in the pot?

The Channel 9 website has some useful looking tutorials from memory. I never got round to trying it but might give it a go at some point in the future.
