Windows Photo Gallery has developed a VERY annoying trait. Any picture I open has a darkish/yellow tint to it, it's not just the picture but the border around it, which should be blue/white also looks tinted.

The pictures are fine but as they display in FF and Adobe fine. Does anyone know how to sort this?

I have the same problem with some old 640x480 interlaced video captures I have. They look fine in all viewers except Windows Photo Gallery, where it scrunches the pics down to 480x480.

Sorry, haven't found a solution.

Fixed it :D

It was a colour profile issue, I removed the Samsung profile and changed it to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and it now works fine (requires a reboot).

I would get the exact same problem, but randomly - usually once every 2 weeks or so when viewing pics.

Turns out it was the same issue (with the colour setting) - I have a 19" samsung (set in the colour management profile of Vista)

Once I changed it - the problem never came back.
