Windows Photo Viewer closes on it's own after 2 seconds?

Windows 10 Home v1903

Every time I view a photo using the standard Photo Viewer it closes itself after approx 2 seconds which is REALLY annoying!

So far I've:

Ran an SFC scan which found no errors.
Uninstalled the app via Powershell and reinstalled from the Microsoft Store
Repaired & Reset the app via Settings/Apps

After that instead of just closing after 2 seconds it now stays open until I try scrolling through photos or actually using the app, at which point it just closes again (go figure).

I've also tried a bunch of 3rd party photo viewers but none of them seem to tick all the boxes for me so I really want to fix the default viewer.

Well this is infuriating, I uninstalled the Photos app but now I can't actually download anything from the Microsoft Store, tried signing in and out several times, several reboots, wsreset etc etc etc And all I get is this when trying to install the app from the store:

Click Install Now

This happens, then nothing...

I then go here and see that Photos is available to install

But when I click install the installl button just goes away and that's it, nothing gets installed?!

This happens for all apps in the store, not just Photos :-(

Right well the Microsoft Store can just **** right off now, installed Xlideit Image Viewer
now instead which seems great so far and has some editing tools built in.

Please fully star out bad language thanks

So disable it? Winaero can remove that and get back the "traditional" win 7 image viewer too thats what I do.

Well I did actually like some of the features on the Win 10 image viewer which is why I had to replace it with something with similar features rather than roll back to an older version.

Still really puzzled as to why I can't get ANYTHING at all to download from the MS store?!
