Windows photo viewer quality :(

Why is the W7 photo viewer so bad? XP's viewer did a nice job of smoothing an image if it was zoomed in but in W7 it just shows the unaltered pixels. Is there anyway of changing it so it behaves the same as the old XP style one?

might be something to do with cleartype? (guess)

I've pretty much never zoomed into an image over 100% using photo viewer. Why would you need to anyway?

I personally like the fact the image isn't resampled/interpolated.

I actually like the Win7 photo viewer compared to the XP version I've just dropped. Great to have the hand tool, and its fast.

The hand tool and speed are awesome, but the zoomed in quality once past 1:1 is shocking when compared to XP.
