Windows photos app. Altering my images?

Hi. Just got a new laptop with win 10 on.

My old laptop with win 7 worked fine viewing my jpeg or NEF / RAW images.

This new laptop with win 10 on seems, when I view images via the photos app, either lightens or darkens the image.

Why. I hate it. Ruining my images.

Anyone else come across this

Yes. I did some research

Ended up installing infraview, works perfectly.

I'm sure I fixed this by deleting my monitor's colour profile. But it was gash and annoying when it happened.
