Windows re-install

Having been using the RC version, i now need to install a proper copy.
Having backed up all my data i wish to keep, how do i go about formatting my hard drive ready for a reinstall.

The proper copy will allow you to perform a format, although it's only a quick format but will do just fine.

I thought PC's booted from the HDD and you had to change the boot order to boot from CD before reformatting/installing OS?
I know nothing so I could be completely wrong

^^ you are correct. You need to tell the system to boot from the DVD drive first of all by changing the 'boot device priority' in the BIOS. I assume stokecity_m knows this but as he was able to install the release candidate
