Hi,

My windows 10 pc is stuck in a fixing c drive loop, gets to 100% and the reboots to the same issue. I don’t have any other pcs to be able to create the usb boot files from Microsoft and my work pc is too locked down to allow it too. I didn’t get any boot disc with it either and it does not start in safe mode.

Is there anyway to download any sort of win 10 boot files without the need to run an exe so that I can get access to the pc?

I have an Xbox that I can download files too but I can’t run any exe files to install the recovery manager that it is wanting me too.

Many thanks.

Speak to your work IT department and explain the situation. They will be able to sort you out with a bootable USB.

Failing that, how about using your mobile phone? Download the ISO to your phone and use ISO to USB to make a bootable USB drive or Drivedroid to make the phone look like a bootable USB drive (assuming you have an Android phone).

That's the important part. You will need to speak to your IT department.

The OP will undoubtedly correct me if I'm wrong but I'm reading it as he has a home PC which is faulty and a separate work PC which is not. The work PC may not be at his home.

Indeed after a re-read that's how it appears. OP don't you know anyone who has a PC just to create a boot usb stick?

You can boot into recovery just press F11 during startup.
