No, I did not even reinstall after upgrading from a Q6600 to an I5 and that meant a new motherboard and CPU and RAM!

Any issues with the current install? Had any previous viruses? Running slow? Suppose you could but the time saved will likely never outway the time spent reinstalling the OS, programs and games.

depends on the state of your current windows install
if you have a lot of rubbish, past viruses and unused programs, i would reinstall
if you dont, i wouldnt
