Windows removed calculator?

just did a big update sunday and today i go for the calculator and boom nothing.
instead when you pross (windows key) + type "calculator" i get a bing search for online calculator on the new web browser..

is there a problem here or is this the new thing there doing now?

It shouldn't be missing but you can uninstall it. Have you tried reinstalling it from the Microsoft store?

Which version?

I'd be surprised if they removed it, it'd be like removing notepad.

On all versions of Windows 10 the win32 (classic version) of Calculator had been replaced by a UWP (Microsoft Store) version

Just updated mine - 10.2010.0.0 is the current version

The old win32 version is far better though:

The latest version of the UMP windows calculator is 10.2011.16.0 and it covers just about every base you'd need with a standard calculator app.

I'm on 1909 Here, so perhaps why I was only offered 10.2010 when I just checked for updates

I have downloaded and installed the calculator from Microsoft.

I can only assume I have uninstalled it in some say.
I use it most days so don't know why I would though

you can just type maths questions in the google search bar and let it answer
