Windows restore points

Hi,

Ive never used a windows restore point and would like to restore windows to an earlier time during this month..

Will I lose:

a) saved internet favourites
b) programs ive installed recently like yesterday
c) any other info whatsoever

Please advise

Thanks for all responses I recieve

just copy the favourites folder and save it on a disk or 2nd partition
let say you want to restore from the 8 sep you lose everything that you added from the 9th onwards.

what about progs and software ive installed? will i lose them as well?

and other desktop files?

It has all the information you need to know just before your about to restore it, also it is completely reversable so, no worrys XD

Before stepping back in time with the oh so so stable MS Restore tool make sure you back up as much as you can, incase.
