Hi, as title says my windows performance score has dropped.
i was running 2gb OCZ with vista 64bit
i put in 1gb (2x512) to boost my memory as im not running anything overclocked and i set memory to auto in bios
now my score has dropped from 5.2 down to 4.5
i done the test twice and at first it said 4.6 2nd time it said 4.5

will this affect the overall performance in my pc ?

When adding more sticks, it takes slightly longer to read from each slot.... if that makes sense. That's why people opt for higher capacties in one stick.

slots 1 & 2 are the same timing
sots 3 & 4 are the same timing
but both sets are different

i can understand that it might take longer being more of them, but does it also make things quicker having more overall?

hi just a idea why the low score, maybe with your 2gb in it's running in dual channel mode and when you add the 512mb sticks the motherboard reverts back to single channel, all sticks need to be same for dual channel.

so you might have more memory but it's running a bit slower.
