Hello all,

I have had my new upgrade running a week now.
Just wondering if anyone pays attention to the windows score?
I am running windows 7 and here are my subscores:

Processor = 7.4
RAM = 7.8
Graphics = 7.9
Gaming Graphics = 6.3

My question is why is my gaming graphics lower than the other graphics subscore.

I have an ATI Radeon HD 4870 x2.

Cheers
G

its stupid tbh i saw a 7600GT beat a 8800GTX in Graphics score before

i get 5.9 in everything but thats vista max :P

Graphics = How good your PC can do things like Aero, decoding, etc.

Gaming = How good at gaming it is.

I think Microsoft are staggering it a bit this time so that at the time of release, nobody will get the top score.

According to windows 7 the highest score is 7.9,
i was just wondering why my gaming graphics score was low compared to the top mark for the graphics score?

you know what its like trying to get perfection:D

Processor (Q6600) 7.3
Memory (1066Mhz) 7.3
Graphics (8800GT) 5.9
Gaming graphics 5.9
Primary hard disk 5.8

Never really payed attention to vista scores. Actually had it removed with vLite, but since moving to win7 it's back again.

I think it's a bit of fun, it can at least give you a quick indication of any boost OC'ing is giving.

With Windows 7 I have,
6.2
6.2
7.9
6.0
6.0

Before OC'ing and tweaking my base score was 5.5

Tute is right, he also has a cool sig.

You'll probably never max it out either unless you have a seriously expensive solid state drive and to be honest its not a serious benchmark anyway so hardly worth it.

The idea behind the Windows Score is to give Joe & Joanne Average a simple rating to compare their computer with software system requirements.
