Windows screensaver password

ok guys sounds silly but how do I set windows to ask for a password when the screensaver has been on?
I tried to set it with no joy........
went to screen savers and the option for to ask for password wasn't there?

I know that , but I want windows to ask me for the password so that I have to type it in.

all it s doing at the moment is going straight back to my desk top

thats just it there isn't any on resume password protect.............it just says on resume display welcome screen
