Windows search is utterly useless

disable indexing and uninstall the windows search from default programs and uninstall ie 8

then use the search at the top right of the explorer that works like that the old windows xp search, without indexing it works fairly fast but has to manually go through even folder.

But on my SSD it finds stuff instantly without indexing.

i believe the old style search is available by pressing windows key and "F" or windows key and f3 or something

I'm trying to find inbox.dbx and it can't find it. I'm looking on my old hard drive (windows xp was corrupted) and new one but windows search can't find it on either disk.
On my parents computer it can't find anything either. I spent ages looking for a folder, I typed the name of the folder into search it just said can not be found utterly useless!
