Hi All.

Does anybody know of a way to connect my xbox to my server? The server has all my music and videos on but I can't seem to be able to find an app that will allow server 2003 to share the data.

The xbox will connect to my PC without any problem but this is on all the time and has lttle music so isn't really the best method.

Thanks

You're talking about the 360 yeah?

If so, I "believe" Media Player 11 will install on Server 2003.

(Could be wrong, so don't hold me to it!)

thats retarded that you can't just use network shares

But then Microsoft wouldn't be pushing it's new media sharing format, would it? ;)

if it is 360 then only xp media centre pc will connect to xbox 360

Incorrect. Windows Media Player 11 will allow media sharing, just not video. Windows Media connect does the same.

Well I've been reading up and it seems that all you need is some uPnP software for the server and it will work.

TwonkyVision does it but isn't free.

There are some free ones about so am going away to have a play :)
