Hi all,
I am about to start a new job using server 03 but in all honesty no nothing about it. Although I will be trained on job I am going to install it at home on my small network and have a play around.
I am aware that is a huge subject so any thoughts where i should begin...anything that is worth a read that sort of thing
Cheers Guys

Are you familiar with any Windows networking technologies like Server 2000 or NT4?

What is your previous experience?

Install it at home, start with the basics like DNS, DHCP and Wins. Move onto account administration, creating OU's and managing active directory then explore such things as FSMO roles, sites and services and trusts.

Personally i wouldnt touch it until you have a reasonable understanding of what affect it has on the environment.

I would also try and gain an understanding of how Exchange ties in with active directory and the nightmare youl face if you break it.
