Windows Server 2008 and GPT

Hi,

I have been looking all over the place but I need confirmation that you cannot boot from windows server 2008 on a GPT partition?

I have heard that you can do it using a Itanium Chip but nothing else

So please confirm away

I thought that as long as the server supported EFI then it would boot of GPT partition

Correct, x86 and x64 versions of Server 2008 and x64 Server 2008 R2 machines can boot GUID based partitions assuming they support EFI.

UPDATE:

Ok see how its going... BUT still cant get into Windows Setup in EFI mode, its SO annoying me!
