Im running Windows Vista at the moment and have downloaded the beat of windows server 2008 (Longhorn).

I want to give it a go but my question is how do i dual boot with vista. I have one hard disk do i need to install it on another partion will that do it. P.s whats LOnghorn like?

don't even waste a dvd burning it. you can mount the iso within vista and run setup directly from there. of course you'll need a free partition either on your current drive or another disk. make sure it's formatted as ntfs before starting. follow the on screen prompts. easy. :)

it's ok, bit slow to repsond when using the admin tools/wizards. but all my vista drivers worked ok. you can even enable aero which is a bit daft on a server os. i'm surprised they included it. :p
