Just toying with downloading storage server 2012 to see if it's any good.
Going to have a play with server 2012 though later this week and look and see if there's any improvements to ad, dns, group policy. Apparently the printers side is meant to be improved for printer deployment
I have been playing with the RC for a while now, it seems to be a huge improvement over 2008R2. However, it does look like people are going to need a crash course in Powershell.
I am in the process of rebuilding my home lab to 2012 at the moment.
I quite liked it, The new Storage Spaces features are a welcome addition and add much needed flexibility, and it's generally a bit quicker and more polished than 2008 R2. Unfortunately the beta I am using seems to have a bug which takes a Virtual Disk offline after a couple of hundred GB worth of writes (I can put it back online without a reboot, but it's been a PITA whilst trying to sync over 7TB of media)
Hopefully the RTM fixes this, but I've not had a chance to check yet.
Setting up a server 2012 windows deployment server at the moment, quite liking the new features, not sure i like the server manager though....feels like they've tried to squash too much information on a single page.
I've got a W2K8R2 server running the HyperV role with 6 W2K8R2 (2 core 4 full), a Windows 7 box and a Linux box, plus a W2K8 box running core which is my storage server.
Temped to look at upgrading the VMs to 2012 and if that goes well I could upgrade the HyperV server to HyperV 2012 (rather than full running the HyperV role) and the my storage server to whatever the 2012 version of Storage Server is.
