Hi All,
I am having a load of weird issues with windows backup at the moment And any advice about how I can overcome this issue would be greatly appreciated.
I have setup Windows backup on my server, I have a second HDD attached to the server, Drive one is for the OS, Drive 2 is for the backup.
Using the Windows Recovery media I am able to restore Drive 1 from Drive 2.
If I replace Drive one, again I am able to recover the server from Drive 2.
As Drive 2 is always installed on the server, I would like a ways and means of taking data off-site.
As a result of this, All the Data from drive 2 is copied to removable media so that it can be stored off site.
That data that is copied to the removable drive is worthless, I am unable to recovery any data from it. Even if I copy it back to Drive 2 of the server, and attempt a recovery it will not allow me.
Can Windows Backup Data not been thrown about like that? Any solutions?
