Windows shutdow issue

I have an issue from time to time on a relatively new build windows 10 machine.

Mobo is Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Intel Z170 and from time to time on selecting shutdown the machine goes to sleep instead, which when trying to wake requires pushing the reset on my case.

Are there any settings I need to check to or ideas why is happening? I am having to press and hold the power off to shut it down when it happens.

You could try diabling fast startup and see if that's the cause of the issue: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4189-fast-startup-turn-off-windows-10-a.html

Check USB devices plugged in as the hub built into my monitor appeared to be the cause of my similar issue.

Yeah that turns off anyway by default when you turn off fast start up I think. I don't think hibernation can be on with fast start up disabled.
