Hi Guys,

Well after some Windows Vista updates, my PC is finally able to go into sleep/hibinate mode correctly. However the only problem I face now is that when I come out of sleep/hibinate, my mouse and heyboard don't work. I have to restart the machine in order to get them to work. Which kinda defeats the whole point of the sleep mode.

I'm using a Microsoft Media keyboard. Wired, PS2. And a Logitec MX1000, wireless USB mouse.

Anyone got ideas as to why I could be having this problem?

Many thanks! ;)

Damn, got my hopes up there! ;)

Just tried to put my system to sleep, but still doesn't work.
Never has on Vista, worked fine under XP.

The system powers down, and a split second after all the lights have gone out, it just turns itself back on again.

V1N.

i have this problem, though i am sure its my usb KVM thats doing it as if i plug it directly into my machine, the usb devices get detected.

im using a ibm t60, ms reclusa, g5 2007, belkin usb kvm with vista ultimate. i dont recall having this problem when i used a ms media pro keyb with a intellimouse optical.

maybe the reclusa/g5 is sucking up too much power :/

I found out why our machines don't sleep..or I think I know the calpurit! :)
Will add my findings tonight after some more settings.

hmm i think i might have found out a little more as to why my usb isnt being detected recently, the recent USB update, 941600.

uninstalled it and usb seems to be detected when resuming from hibernate again!

Ah..interesting. Well I also think the power options you select in the control panel effects wheather your PC will sleep or not. As I changed it, now it won't sleep again. :(
