I recently picked up a nasty trojan virus, which ended up really ******* my comp up! I have fully removed it now using countless anti virus/spyare removal/registary cleaneras and my computer is clean as a whistle. Only problem is While searching the web using internet explorer (and using steam) the IE/steam freeze up for around 5-15 seconds every now and then. In some other cases you may click a button (sign in/link) and it clicks but nothing seems to happen THEN freezes. IS there anything i can do to fix this? (reinstall I.E for e.g) or will only a full reformat do?

I HAVE RUN THREE DIFFRENT ANTI-SPYWARE, ANTI VIRUS AND REGISTARY CLEANERS/TUNERS!! SO PLEASE DONT SUGGEST THAT!

sorry for caps lol Just wanted to make sure every one saw it :P nothing more anoying than people spamming something you have allready done :)

With your molesting of system files and the registry with "cleaners", you probably broke something.

Do you get any entries in the Event Viewer after a freeze/crash?

Antivirus coming up clean doesn't really mean much. I would definitely try reinstalling IE. If you're on W7 you can go to Programs and features and you can "turn off" IE, which basically removes it. After a reboot, you can re-enable (install) it.
