Windows slow

All of a sudden today when booting windows it became like all slowmo and everything takes a long time. I tried updating gpu but it didn't work

open task manager and see if there is anything obvious sucking up resources.

Hard Drive Tests?

have a look in your event logs they normally indicate if there's an issue. Had a user at work complain about freezing problems.

After banging head on desk for a week had a look in the event viewer and a faulty cd rom was the issue.

also like jamesfreddie said run a hard drive test a dodgy HDD is number 1 culprit with slowness issues
