Just needing to figure something.
Firstly i'm trying to broadcast a movie over msn for a friend.

I'm using "ManyCam" which is working for the video... however, i'm wanting msn's audio to read manycam instead of my webcam.

I know my old Creative audio console used to be able to select sound input source.. and i could choose "WhatUHear"

But can't find a setting inside windows to change recording properties? Was just wondering if anyone could give me a clue as to where it might be?

Your friend must be pretty desperate to watch a movie over msn lol! I can select line-in on mine.. perhaps you could plug the output back into the line-in? No idea if that would work or not. I guess where must be some software that would do it.

lol, she's usually pretty busy, and theres a few movies I have which she said she would like to watch, or ones which i've recommended, she doesn't really like acquiring movies illegally on her PC either.
Just figured it was an easy way to broadcast it at a high quality quickly and easily and save me trecking out with a memory card each time i happen to have a new TV Series or movie etc. Also saves on using websites which may stream movies which are normally riddled with dodgey stuff.

Found a fix for now... I'de been thinking about it too much.

Plugged a 3.5mm jack into my front headphone socket.. then straight into the microphone one 1cm away from it.

Seems to be streaming audio from the wire and picking it straight up in the mic port. :D
