For some reason, my wireless card in my laptop was not detected after the new install of windows, how do I find which one it is? On the Asus support site, they have loads of downloads for my model

EDIT: Also, I have tried this; http://www.intowindows.com/change-default-installation-directory-in-windows-7-vista/ to change the default installation directory but when I install a program, it is still set to C:\ by default.

As far as your wireless goes, create a restore point and try a few, if they don't work you can always restore the computer back to its before state.

If its windows 64bit then it will always default to C:\ by default. As far as i know this hasn't been fixed by microsoft.

i'd hook it up by ethernet then do a windows update, if its not recognized by the update you've got some research to do into exactly what drivers to download.

best of luck!

If the icon isn't in the task bar, drag it there and do it yourself. As for finding what wireless card you have, Google the make and model number of your laptop, view its spec, find out what wireless card it is and then search for drivers.
