Windows SSD : Superfetch, prefetch and drive indexing

I had an ocz ssd 1 that was being used by this guy at work as i had swapped it out for a ocz 2 and he reset the power management settings to default even after i advised against it. The ssd stopped working and I sent it off to ocz for replacement.

Nah this sounds rubbish. HDD suspend shouldn't be a failing point for SSDs

Think of all the devices that suspend from notebooks, tablets to PCs

HDD suspend is too fundamental and important to get wrong

I don't think that matters that much. Since I installed and cloned over my HDD to SSD (Force 3 120GB) back in November the OS has written 922GB of data and read 2.44TB off it. SSDLife still estimates the life expectancy based on this to be 8yrs and 11months.

+1

If you're going to faff around with moving windows temp and user temp then what's the point of having an SSD ;)
