Hi all,

Recently, I have overclocked my CPU and my PC is a bit slow on start up.

I have used MSCONFIG to only select the programs I want to load which are the following:

Plus I have MSI Afterburner, Core Temp and Open Hardware Monitor open on start up also.

To get a stable 3.4ghz from my AMD Athlon X4 640 I upped the "BUS SPEED" to 226.9mhz over the locked x15 multiplier. I also upped from memory which is standard Corsair 1333mhz DDR3 from the downclocked (thanks to raising the bus speed) to 1200mhz "ish" from 1100mhz. I also downed the HT link as it was raised in x10 mode (thanks to upping the bus speed) to x9 mode to keep it around the 2000mhz range it likes to be at, because I read that HT doesn't like to run more than 2000mhz. I left the voltage at stock and it never goes above 1.392V, even under load.

Memory

I boot windows from a 50GB partition on my main 500GB SATA2 HDD along sidea 160GB SATA2 slave which I use for installing games and programs on and a 300GB IDE drive for storing videos, music and images.

Have I done something wrong, or have I just got too many programs starting up??

My Specs are:

AMD Athlon II X4 640 @ 3.4ghz
Corsair DDR3 1333mhz 4GB
Asrock M3N78D
XFX HD5770 @ 920/1350mhz
Ezcool Infinity 700W PSU

Thanks
