Hey all!

Started having a problem with me computer. Its been fine since a recent wow update, and i was forced to update my gfx drivers.

It seems when i alt tab out, sometimes i get a problem with "windows system assessment tool"

Im pretty sure its that, as the first time this happened i got the error: windows system assessment tool has stopped working. What will happen is, i alt tab out, or sometimes it can happen without alt tabbing. My gfx temp will start to rise fast, from 60c to 80-85c, i can hear the fan kicking in. My desktop will also change colour, seems to change to an old style of windows, white/gray bottom bar. Once i close windows system assessment tool, everything goes back to normal. And this seems to only happen on the newest nvidia gfx drivers.

is this something i should worry about?

My specs are:

CPU: i5 3570k
GFX: 670 gtx
16gb ram

If you need to know anymore, just ask :> I did buy the system from here back in 2012 ^_^

im not so great when it comes to computers!

I did downgrade to an old driver, but i was getting jumpy fps so i upgraded again. Wish i didnt change my drivers in the first place!

thanks in advance!

I also get an error about: Do you want to change the color scheme to improve performance.

windows has detected that your computer performance is slow.

Go to:

Control Panel
System and Security
Action Center
View Performance Info
Advanced Tools
Clear all Windows Experience Index Scores and re-rate the system

Let it run.

Morning yashiro. I did it and it has completed.

The score is:

processor: 7.6

RAM: 7.7

Graphics: 7.9

Gaming graphics: 7.9

Primary hard disk: 7.8

That's usually associated with running out of vram. I used to get it with my old GTX480, AMD 6950 and GTX670 after exiting certain games (every single time i exited WoW). Since i swapped to a 3GB card i have not seen that message.

PC should run fine now. Alt-tabbing during games will raise the amount of VRAM used by the system and sometimes you will get the low memory warning if you do this often. It's obviously dependant on how much VRAM is in use by the game.
