Windows System Repair discs on multiboot USB?

Longshot but has anyone had any experience with multiboot and Windows system repair discs?

They all work fine when installed with a single-boot only tool like RUFUS, but when YUMI, XBOOT etc are used to create a multiboot, they start misbehaving - trying to take the USB drive as the system partition rather than the OS drive, and doing any bootsector commands etc on that. Which obviously breaks the recovery disc. Tried both syslinux and grub with no luck.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Nvm, fixed my own problem again, lol. After trying every multiboot utility under the sun, WinSetupFromUSB appears to work perfectly - somehow seems to preserve the Windows bootloader, similarly to how a dual-boot Windows install would look.
