Once going into Windows my PC is acting extremly slow.

MSN takes about a minute before auto signing in.
As does GMail notifier.

Then If i plug something into USB etc, it doesn't recognise untill this ''1 minute'' has elapsed

This is all just when you get into Windows, after the minute all works fine.

Where would I look to see if I have some process running on startup?

I have no spyware what I can see, any ideas?

Look in msconfig, and services.msc (both accessed for start->run then type them in)

Don't change anything if you don't know what you are doing, either ask here or look up more info on the web.

Also try TuneUp Utilities 2006 Registry Defragmenter as this improved my start up time after I couldn't work out what was slowing it down.
