As per title really, Added 2nd 670 last week and strait away Windows 7 (x64) takes a lot lot longer to cold-boot.
W7 splash screen stays for a good 30 seconds up from 1-2 seconds using the 1 GPU.

I've tried reinstalling drivers (314.07) to no avail. Any idea's?

Cheers

Just to add, When its sat at the Windows splash screen, The SSD that the OS is on flashes constantly loading, No idea what its doing

2nd card working okay? I'd probably try just using the 2nd card by itself (take out the 1st) to see if the problem continued which may point to a fault with it.

Update mobo BIOS and see.

Good idea. I installed a second 670 not to long ago which went fine and thought how come these led's on the card never turn off?

I thought that's how it's meant to be on these Asus cards, but then I updated the motherboard bios just for sake keeping up to date and those led's on the gpu's now turn off when shutting the pc down.

I have no idea why or how a motherboard bios can effect the cards, so give it a try.

With just card #2 (new one) it boots up like it did before with just card #1 installed, All is well.

Then I add card #1 back and it takes long again.

I've not updated this BIOS in this mobo at all, When I first got it I read a lot of horror stories about updating the p8p67/pro's (B3.1) BIOS and it messing things up so I avoided doing it as everything was fine.
I'll have a look round for a new BIOS and cross my fingers :D

Cheers lads

Edit: BIOS Version 3602, 4. Fixed Nvidia GTX 680 hang when runing with UEFI driver. Look's promising.

Maybe try redownloading? Asus' servers can be a bit spotty in my experience, regular browser download won't inform you if it cuts out before 100%.

Glad you got it sorted StonedPenguin.

@weehamish, I can't explain how a bios update did that. I don't know if they should be on or off. I guess it's preferable to be off if you have a side window.

Yes i have a side window, they are tiny LEDs so you cant really notice them.

Ive just talked to ASUS and they have said its normal and they should always be on 24/7, so dunno why yours have turned off? If they are off its showing theres not enough juice flowing to them, 750W PSU for SLI? Is that not pushing it a bit?

The guy was called Katie in chat, i know it was a guy because girls havent a clue about pcs :P

Well ASUS support is pretty sweet, the live chat is only for the USA if you need to RMA but they answer everything and its instant everytime.
