Windows Taskbar Gone Missing?????

I lost my windows taskbar.....

I was away for a week working...and when I got home its gone...Kids or wife to blame....I'm not sure. Anyhow...tried to get it back but it just isnt coming. It comes up when it first boots into windows...then it just goes and doesnt come back.....any ideas?

sure its not something stupid like you've got the taskbar on autohide?

Or it's on auto hide and also been moved to one side of the screen or maybe the top ?

What happens when you press the Windows key ? Where does the start menu popup?

ctrl + alt + del, task manager, end explorer.exe, file > run > explorer.exe

Should reappear.

It's a recurring problem on some machines I've found.

Ahhhh...I actually found the problem. I noticed it diapeared during bootup just before my Objectdock bar loaded...so I had a look at the options in objectdock and there is an option to 'hide the taskbar' which had been ticked by someone...I just wonder who has wasted 2 hours of my time???
