Has anybody here tinted there case window? What I want to do is reduce the amount of light that enters the case so that the uv glow shows up better especially during the day. Ive heard of it being done before but I cant find any pictures of it.

Suppose you could use a tinted film over the top of the windows, or even have the window recut using a tinted perpex.

Edit; Can't help you with pics though im afraid, as im using clear Polycarbonate.

A lot of peeps now use the car window tinting kits, could be a little exspensive ect, there are also some pc ones floating aorund, not to much money for them, but harder to get hold of. also i beielve there are some kits available for house windows, although not quite sure what size theya would be, and proberly not as divere as say the car window kits.

A well known competitor sells various options, including Tint Film, and also Tinted Lexan/Perspex in various colours,google is your friend ;)

Aha clones, im sure he hasnt put the tint on, last i heard he was looking for it. could be wrong
as im also getting one of them godlike cases, mine arives in a couple of weeks i think/hope pray sooner

Yeah that case doesnt look like its got tint on too me if it has I was expecting it to be darker! I dont really mind where I get the tint from I just really need to have an idea what it looks like as I bet its not the sort of thing to come off easily!!!
 
Looking at the picture.. no he hasn't used tinted film.. hes used smoked black plexi replacing his current plexi on the panels.

hmmmz i like that film lol you cant realy see into the case until the lights are on, hmmmz, nice, which tint was that obviously if you get a to dark a tint it wont work as desired
 
I used soem red tint in my Aurora / ghost case paint job thingie ma jiggy and the results were awsome.

good stuff.

p.s carbine you may want to remove competitors links from images?
 
caister what size of plexi are you after m8,ive got some left over from my MM build.
Smoked grey plexi,i replaced all the window`s in my case with it and had to order more than i needed so i have a couple of bit`s left over.

P.S leave the window tint to the pro`s it`s very hard to get it to look right,ive tryed it and couldnt get on with it at all.

Ya i know but they are watermarked images... i'll just keep em on till someone removes them ;)

As for the type of window tint... this ones Limo Black... got a rool of it myself :)
