Windows to Linux remote file transfer client?

Is there a client that I can download onto a Windows based PC that will let me upload files to a Linux server I have. I am currently connecting to it via Putty but I could do with uploading a couple of text files and I don not really want to go through the hassle of configuring a FTP server.

SFTP, its a subsystem of SSH which your using with putty, so requires no extra setup on your linux box.

WinSCP is a decent client too.

Second the WinSCP. I use for transferring files to Nokia and Check Point SPLAT firewalls from Windows Clients.

Works like a charm.

Thirding the WinSCP but would advise that you change the port that you operate over.

I've seen too many hacks of systems running SSH, there's nothing on some of them yet they rewrite the passwords so I'm guessing packet kiddies.

Bit pointless imo, nothing a quick port scan wont find.

True but most hacks in a can don't bother. It'll protect you from most packet kiddies but not people specifically targeting you.

I change(d) my SSH port at home and the number of sniffs totally stopped - I only changed the port number by a few but it was enough and people haven't seemed to bother scanning my entire range so it's cool
